Moving Day April 26, 2008

Can you believe this? Yes, that is snow. Yes, that is green grass.

Imagine our surprise as we expected to spend the day cleaning our RV and loading it up to head out.
So, plan B.

Please keep us in your prayers as you see RV's on the road.

Farewell and Cake

This is the very yummy cake given to me on my last day at Mayer Lutheran High School. The best time to take a picture of the cake is just before you cut into it. As you can see, this picture was taken at the second best time.

Fruits of the Spirit

The four little boys holding "Faithfulness" were just too cute. This song is about the fruits of the spirit - obviously. Dave calls kids up front to help out.

It has been funny lately, as some of our letters have jumped off of the board; and yet it still makes the point. We have laughed about GENTLEN-SS and ELF-CONTROL , which is very important. You let those elves take over and then just watch and see what happens. This photo was taken at Zion Lutheran in Bismarck, North Dakota, on April 20th.

Yes... More friends

This is a photo of some of my younger friends, students at Mayer Lutheran High School, as they watched a video created for me. From a totally unbiased view, it is Oscar worthy. I was very moved by the wonderful comments of the students and staff at MLHS. I will miss the MLHS community - keep in touch guys.

More Friends

This is my good friend Chris Krentz. Her husband serves as pastor at St. Paul's Lutheran in Watertown, Minnesota.

We have been friends for the past eight years. Chris is the secretary, nurse, mom, business office, and organizer at Christ Community Lutheran School, she does a great job.

Even though we will not be together I will smile at the great memories and thank God for you all.

Friends

This is my friend Sarah Marcis, she lives in Bismarck, North Dakota, with her hubby, Tom, who serves as pastor at Zion Lutheran.

Tom invited Dave and I to sing at Zion, Bismarck, on April 20th. We met and became instant friends back in 1986 when both our families were called to western North Dakota out of the seminary. I had not seen them for about six years, and we did not miss a beat. We picked right up where we left off and and gabbed away. Friends like that are a treasure.

Empty Space

Home Sweet Home - for our "can't quite part with it" stuff. I have read a number of times, "if you think you might want it, keep it. After one year you may change your mind, but maybe not." I have also read, "If you have not looked at it for a year, you never will. Get rid of it."

I will get back to you on that.

We are two weeks away from life with HaRVey! Dave and I are both excited, scared, excited, scared - oh wait, I already said that.

Stay tuned for more information.
